They are approximately 1 hour to 1 & 1/2 hours, depending on time of tour and where the dolphin are located. We take you for a narrated tour of Clearwater Harbor and the Gulf of Mexico(weather/winds permitting) that combines the wildlife with the rich history of the area.
Absolutely! We take pride in making all of our tours fun, informative and safe for all age groups. The Little Toot is a United State Coast Guard inspected vessel and we meet and exceed all safety requirements. Both of our boats provide the same wonderful tour, the size is the main difference. The The Original Little Toot can hold up to 30 passengers and 2 crew members and the Little Toot II can hold up to 55 passengers and 2 crew members.
Reservations are recommended and can be made online, by stopping by the booth once you’re in the area or by calling (727) 446-5503 at least a few hours before a trip is scheduled to depart. During busy seasons plan on making your reservation a few days – weeks in advance. Walk-ons are always welcome provided we have the room.
There is parking at the marina lot, please see us at the booth for the daily parking code, this lot fills up very fast – please arrive early. There is also the beach parking lot directly across the street from us, as well as 3-4 parking garages within walking distance. Depending on the time of year (Feb.-July), parking on Clearwater Beach can fill up quickly so give yourself extra time for parking and beach traffic, as the boat leaves promptly at schedule departure time. It is always a great option to Uber, but please account for beach traffic, it can take anywhere from 15 minutes to over an hour to get over the causeway.
ALTERNATIVE PARKING: Park for free in downtown Clearwater and ride the Jolley Trolley over. Jolley Trolley’s run approximately every 15 minutes and are subject to the causeway traffic. Please plan accordingly. The Jolley Trolley is free in March, and reasonable the rest of the year. Visit their website for more information https://www.clearwaterjolleytrolley.com/public-routes
Of course, reservations are required for private tours so please contact us at 727-446-5503 or email info@littletoot.us if you are interested. Private tour are great for ash scatterings, birthday parties, corporate events, family reunions etc. and may be booked up to 1 year in advance.
Dogs are great, but our boat isn’t the best spot for them. The lack of water and space for them to do their business can make it a pretty uncomfortable journey for a pup. Plus, all the loud noises, like the ship horn, could be harmful to their ears. That and other reasons are why we have a strict no-dogs policy on our boat.
Yes, the Little Toot II has a bar on board! We have soda, water, Gatorade, wine, spike seltzer’s, ciders, and beer available for purchase (Cash Only).
The Original Little Toot is BYOB(no glass please) and we have soda, Gatorade and water available for purchase (Cash only).
It is customary to tip your crew and always very appreciated.
Yes, we do have a marine head available.
Unfortunately no, depending on the level of the tide there may be 1 to 4 steps on/off the boat and we so not recommend people with mobility issues ride the Little Toot.
Cancellations or changes to reservations must be 24 hours in advance for a full refund. Cancellations due to weather prior to trip departure will also be given a full refund or the option to book on another trip.
